Calm Mind Hour

Focused support to settle an overactive system

When mental overload runs high during the day, it often feels like there’s no real off switch. Thoughts race.

The body stays tense. Even when nothing is “wrong”, your system doesn’t seem to settle.

Calm Mind Hour is a single, focused session designed to help reduce that ongoing sense of alertness. It offers space to slow things down, understand what’s driving the stress, and begin calming the nervous system in a way that feels grounded and manageable.

Who It’s For

Who It’s For

This session is for people who feel stuck in patterns of nervous system overload. It’s likely to be a good fit if:

  • You feel tense, restless, or on edge during the day
  • Stress feels physical as well as mental
  • Your mind struggles to switch off, even when you’re “calm”
  • Stress is starting to affect sleep or daily functioning
  • You want focused support without committing to a longer programme

How The Session Works

Calm Mind Hour is a one-to-one session focused on what’s happening in your system right now.

We look at how stress shows up in your thoughts, body, and daily patterns, and identify what’s keeping your nervous system in a heightened state of alert. From there, we work on calming and regulating that response using evidence-based approaches drawn from Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy, ACT, and mindfulness.

This isn’t about analysing every thought or digging endlessly into the past. The focus is on helping your system feel safer and more settled in the present.

What’s Included

Calm Mind Hour can be booked as a one-off session or used as ongoing support, depending on what you need. During Calm Mind Hour, the session typically focuses on:

  • Understanding what’s driving your stress or nervous system activation
  • Reducing physical tension and mental hypervigilance
  • Learning how to respond differently when stress spikes
  • Creating a greater sense of internal steadiness and control

The session is tailored to where you are on the day, with a step by step focus on understanding and addressing your stress response.

What This Is Not

You won’t be pushed to relive distressing experiences or forced to think positively. The aim is to reduce pressure and reactivity, not add more effort. We approach everything calmly and at a safe and manageable pace.

Support During The Session

Your session is guided by what feels most relevant and supportive for you in the moment. If stress fluctuates during our time together, we work with that rather than trying to suppress it. The focus stays on listening carefully, responding thoughtfully, and helping your system move toward a calmer baseline.

Support During The Session

After the Session

After Calm Mind Hour, you can expect to feel more settled and less reactive. Stress may still arise at times, but it tends to feel less overwhelming and easier to respond to. For some, this session is enough as standalone support. For others, it can be a helpful first step before moving into more structured work, including sleep-focused programmes.
